Jesse Hopkins earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. Jesse has done additional theological graduate studies at Mid-America Theological Seminary in Germantown, TN. Jesse has experience in individual and family counseling which came from a variety of settings such as group homes, residential treatment, juvenile detention, and intensive in-home family counseling. In addition, Jesse is a licensed and ordained minister and has served on staff at a church serving in an educational ministries/associate pastor capacity. In addition to his graduate studies, Jesse has attended numerous seminars to continue his educational endeavors in his areas of specialization: grief recovery and family counseling. Jesse’s approach to counseling implements an integration of psychology and theology drawing heavily from the cognitive-behavioral theories of counseling. In addition, he provides services to Portuguese-speaking clients through a translator. Jesse is available for individual, family, and group counseling sessions. In addition, grief education seminars, parenting, and other family related seminars can be scheduled.
